Managing Side Effects

GLP-1 medications like Wegovy and Mounjaro are powerful tools to support your weight loss journey — but like all medicines, they can come with side effects.

At Well by Vertis, we want you to feel informed and supported at every step. Below you’ll find an overview of common side effects, tips for managing them, and guidance on when to reach out for help.

What’s normal?

Most side effects are mild and temporary, especially in the first few weeks as your body adjusts. You might experience:

  • Nausea or queasiness
  • Constipation or diarrhoea
  • Stomach pain or bloating
  • Headaches
  • Tiredness or low energy
  • Mild dizziness

These are typically short-lived and can often be eased with simple changes to your routine (see below).

When to get in touch…

While side effects are common, you should contact us if you experience:

  • Severe or persistent nausea or vomiting
  • Signs of dehydration (dark urine, dizziness)
  • Intense stomach pain
  • Unusual changes to your mood or mental health
  • Concerns about injection site reactions

We’re here to support you — just visit our Contact Us page and follow the instructions. If you’re directed to 111, we’ll still see your enquiry – but a member of our team will still follow up with you to ensure everything’s okay.
